2010 Census | Sahuarita | The Sahuarita ConnectionDid you know that if you don’t fill out your 2010 Census Form you are throwing away money! That’s right, throwing it away? The amount of funding allocated to communities is determined by formulas that use population as a factor.  At the time of the 2000 Census Sahuarita’s population was 3,242.  On July 2009, the Arizona Department of Commerce estimated our population to be 24,968 – Almost 6 times as big as 2000! When you complete your Census Form, you will be helping the town of Sahuarita receive Federal and State Funding to match our population growth.

The 2010 Census will help communities such as ours receive over $400 Billion in Federal funding each year for schools, job training centers, senior centers, Emergency Services and Public Works projects.

The Census form is a simple 10-Question form.  So fill it out and return it by mail so that we can receive our community’s fair share of federal and State funds.
